What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of painful abdominal cramps and spasms, including intestinal colicky pain. It may also be prescribed for other types of spasmodic pain when advised by a doctor.

How does it work?
Diclofenac reduces pain and inflammation. Dicyclomine relaxes spasming muscles in the intestine, helping to relieve cramps.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by a doctor. Swallow the tablet with water, preferably with or after food, and do not exceed the recommended dose or duration. Do not take other diclofenac or similar painkillers unless advised.

Common side effects
Indigestion, nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea or constipation, dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness and blurred vision.

Precautions
Use only on medical advice if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma triggered by painkillers, glaucoma, difficulty passing urine or bowel obstruction. Avoid during pregnancy, especially after 20 weeks and in the last 3 months, unless specifically prescribed. Avoid alcohol and driving if dizzy, drowsy or experiencing blurred vision. Seek urgent medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, breathing difficulty, facial swelling or a severe skin rash.
