What is it used for?
Used to relieve pain and discomfort from acidity, heartburn, gastritis and peptic ulcers. It helps protect irritated areas in the stomach and food pipe while oxetacaine provides local relief from pain.

How does it work?
Sucralfate forms a protective coating over ulcers and irritated lining in the stomach and food pipe. Oxetacaine is a local anaesthetic that helps reduce pain in the affected area.

How to take/use it
Shake the bottle well before use and measure the medicine with a proper measuring device. Take it exactly as prescribed. Sucralfate may affect the absorption of other medicines, so inform the doctor or pharmacist about all medicines being taken and follow their advice on spacing doses.

Common side effects
Constipation, nausea, indigestion, dry mouth and stomach discomfort. Temporary numbness of the mouth or throat may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is kidney disease or an allergy to sucralfate, oxetacaine or any ingredient. Do not eat or drink very hot food or liquids if the mouth or throat feels numb. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist, worsen or there is vomiting blood, black stools or severe abdominal pain.
