Docetaxel 120 mg

Description

Taceedo RTU 120 is a ready-to-use formulation of Docetaxel, a taxane-class chemotherapy drug. It is used in the treatment of breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, gastric cancer, and head & neck cancers. It works by inhibiting microtubule depolymerization, thereby stopping cancer cell division and inducing cell death.

Precautions

Use only under the supervision of an oncologist.
Pre-medication with corticosteroids is required to reduce fluid retention and allergic reactions.
Regular monitoring of blood counts and liver function is essential.
Avoid use in patients with severe liver impairment.
Inform the doctor if fever, severe fatigue, numbness, or swelling develops.
Avoid pregnancy and breastfeeding during treatment.
Do not receive live vaccines during therapy.

Adverse Effects

Low blood counts (neutropenia, anemia).
Hair loss, fatigue.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Peripheral neuropathy (numbness/tingling).
Fluid retention and swelling.
Mouth ulcers.
Rare: severe allergic reactions, liver toxicity, febrile neutropenia.

Storage

Store at 2–25°C. Do not freeze.
Protect from light.
Keep the vial in its outer carton.
Keep out of reach of children.
