Tacromus 0.03% Oint (10Gm) Tacrolimus Oint 0.03%W/W by Elder

What is it used for?
Tacrolimus 0.03% ointment is used to treat moderate to severe eczema (atopic dermatitis), especially when other topical treatments are not suitable or have not worked well.

How does it work?
It reduces the activity of certain immune cells in the skin, helping to reduce inflammation, redness and itching.

How to take/use it
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin exactly as prescribed. Use it only on the affected areas, wash hands before and after application, and avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and inside of the nose. Do not cover the area with tight or airtight dressings unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Burning, warmth, stinging, itching or redness at the application site, usually during the first few days. Increased sensitivity to sunlight may also occur.

Precautions
Use only on eczema-affected skin and do not apply to infected skin unless advised by a doctor. Avoid excessive sunlight, sunbeds and ultraviolet treatment; use sun protection. Tell the doctor if swollen glands, a skin infection or worsening symptoms develop. Avoid use in children under 2 years unless specifically prescribed. Do not use continuously for longer than recommended or without medical supervision.
