Teicoplanin 400 mg per vial

Description:

TECOTECH-400 Vial contains Teicoplanin, a glycopeptide antibiotic used for the treatment of serious Gram-positive bacterial infections, including MRSA, enterococci, and streptococci. It is indicated for septicemia, endocarditis, bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and lower respiratory tract infections. Teicoplanin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in bacterial cell death.

Precautions:

TECOTECH-400 should be administered under strict medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, hypersensitivity to glycopeptide antibiotics, or pre-existing hearing loss. Dosage adjustment may be required in kidney dysfunction, and renal function should be monitored. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly prescribed. Inform the physician of all medications, especially nephrotoxic or ototoxic drugs.

Adverse Effects:

Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, rash, fever, chills, and injection site reactions. Rare but serious effects include nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, hypotension, and hematological abnormalities. Severe allergic reactions may occur in sensitive individuals.

Storage:

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Reconstitute as per instructions and use within the recommended timeframe. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
