What is it used for?
Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Controlling blood pressure helps reduce the risk of serious heart and stroke-related problems.

How does it work?
Telmisartan relaxes and widens blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water from the body. Together, they lower blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not stop it suddenly without medical advice. Regular blood pressure checks and blood tests may be needed.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, increased urination, tiredness, nausea, dehydration, and changes in blood potassium or sodium levels may occur.

Precautions
May cause dizziness, especially when starting treatment or standing up; rise slowly and avoid driving if affected. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver disease, low blood pressure, diabetes, gout, or electrolyte problems. It should not be used during pregnancy and should be stopped and reviewed urgently if pregnancy occurs. Avoid potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium unless advised by a doctor. Seek medical help for severe dizziness, fainting, swelling of the face or difficulty breathing.
