Description:

Telmistrong-80 H is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive containing Telmisartan, an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB), and Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ), a thiazide diuretic.
This combination offers synergistic blood pressure reduction by two complementary mechanisms:

Telmisartan: Blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation and reduced vascular resistance.

Hydrochlorothiazide: Increases sodium and water excretion in the distal renal tubules, lowering plasma volume and blood pressure.

Together, they provide effective 24-hour control of hypertension and improve cardiovascular outcomes.

Warnings & Precautions:

Monitor blood pressure, electrolytes, and renal function regularly.

Hypotension may occur in volume-depleted or salt-depleted patients.

Electrolyte imbalance (especially hypokalemia, hyponatremia) may result from HCTZ use.

Telmisartan may cause hyperkalemia or renal function deterioration in susceptible patients.

Use caution in patients with gout, diabetes, or hepatic disorders.
