Description:

Telmistrong-AM is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive containing Telmisartan, an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB), and Amlodipine, a Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB).
This dual-action combination effectively lowers elevated blood pressure through complementary mechanisms:

Telmisartan: Blocks angiotensin II receptors, leading to vasodilation and reduced vascular resistance.

Amlodipine: Inhibits calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle and myocardium, causing relaxation of blood vessels and decreased cardiac workload.

Together, they provide potent and sustained blood pressure control, minimizing the risk of cardiovascular complications.

Dosage & Administration:

Usual adult dose: One tablet once daily, with or without food.

Taken preferably at the same time each day.

Dosage may be adjusted based on patient’s blood pressure response and tolerability.

Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.

Warnings & Precautions:

Monitor blood pressure, renal function, and electrolytes periodically.

Hypotension may occur in volume-depleted patients.

Amlodipine may cause peripheral edema, especially at higher doses.

Telmisartan may cause hyperkalemia in susceptible individuals.

Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment.

Avoid concomitant use with aliskiren in diabetic or renal-impaired patients.

Store below 25°C, protected from light, heat, and moisture.
