What is it used for?
Used to manage high blood pressure when a combination of medicines is prescribed by a doctor.
How does it work?
Metoprolol reduces the effects of stress hormones on the heart and helps lower heart rate and blood pressure. Chlorthalidone helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water. Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II receptors.
How to take/use it
Take orally as prescribed. Follow the specific instructions for the extended-release formulation. Do not crush or chew the tablet unless the product leaflet explicitly permits it. Do not stop metoprolol suddenly without medical advice.
Common side effects
Dizziness, tiredness, slow heart rate, increased urination, and low blood pressure may occur.
Precautions
