What is it used for?
Used with diet and exercise to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when treatment with one medicine is not enough.

How does it work?
Teneligliptin helps the body release more insulin after meals and reduces the release of glucagon, helping lower blood sugar. Metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves the body's response to insulin.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, preferably with food, and swallow it with water. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice. Continue the recommended diet, exercise and blood sugar monitoring.

Common side effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, vomiting, loss of appetite, headache and symptoms of low blood sugar such as sweating, shakiness or dizziness.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about kidney or liver problems, heart failure, heavy alcohol use, pancreatitis, or any planned surgery or contrast-dye scan. Seek medical help for severe or persistent vomiting, abdominal pain, breathing difficulty, unusual weakness or yellowing of the skin. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice. Kidney function may need monitoring.
