Description:

Tenelicoz M 1000 is a fixed-dose combination oral antidiabetic formulation containing Teneligliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, and Metformin Hydrochloride, a biguanide.
This combination offers dual glucose-lowering action by targeting both insulin secretion and insulin sensitivity:

Teneligliptin enhances incretin hormone activity, promoting insulin release and reducing glucagon secretion.

Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, improves peripheral glucose uptake, and enhances insulin sensitivity.

Warnings & Precautions:

Monitor renal and hepatic function periodically.

Risk of lactic acidosis increases with dehydration, alcohol consumption, or renal impairment.

Use with caution in elderly patients and those with cardiac disease.

Hypoglycemia may occur when used with other glucose-lowering agents (e.g., sulfonylureas or insulin).

Suspend temporarily before radiologic studies with iodinated contrast and during major surgery.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain), headache, dizziness

Less common: Hypoglycemia (with concomitant antidiabetics), fatigue

Rare: Lactic acidosis, elevated liver enzymes, hypersensitivity rash
