Description:

Tenelicoz M 500 is a combination oral antidiabetic medication containing Teneligliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, and Metformin, a biguanide.
This dual combination helps improve glycemic control in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) by:

• Teneligliptin: Enhancing incretin activity, increasing insulin secretion, and suppressing glucagon release.

• Metformin: Decreasing hepatic glucose production and improving insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues.

Dosage & Administration:

Usual adult dose: One tablet once or twice daily with meals, as directed by the physician.

Dose adjustment: Based on patient’s response, renal function, and tolerance.

Should be taken with food to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.

Warnings & Precautions:

Regular monitoring of blood glucose, HbA1c, and renal function is essential.

Risk of lactic acidosis with metformin—avoid in alcohol abuse, dehydration, or hypoxia.

Hypoglycemia risk increases when combined with insulin or sulfonylureas.

Use with caution in elderly or cardiac patients.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache

Less common: Hypoglycemia (especially with other antidiabetics), dizziness, fatigue

Rare: Lactic acidosis, hepatic dysfunction, allergic skin reactions
