Terin 250 Tabs (20X1X7) Terbinafine 250 Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Terbinafine 250 mg is used to treat fungal infections of the nails and certain fungal infections of the skin, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm and jock itch. It is usually prescribed when treatment by mouth is needed.

How does it work?
It stops fungi from making ergosterol, an essential part of their cell membranes. This causes the fungus to stop growing and die.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day. Complete the prescribed course, even if symptoms improve. Do not take an extra dose if a dose is missed; follow the instructions provided by the doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, stomach upset, diarrhoea, indigestion, skin rash and changes in taste or smell may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about liver disease, kidney disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and all other medicines being taken. Liver function tests may be needed, especially during longer treatment. Stop taking it and seek medical help if yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, persistent nausea, severe rash, facial swelling or breathing difficulty occurs. Report significant or persistent changes in taste or smell, or unusual tiredness, to the doctor.
