Composition:

Terlipressin 1 mg per 10 ml

Description:

TERLITECH Vial contains Terlipressin, a synthetic vasopressin analogue used for the management of acute variceal bleeding, hepatorenal syndrome, and shock associated with low blood pressure. Terlipressin works by causing vasoconstriction of blood vessels, reducing portal hypertension and improving systemic vascular resistance.

Precautions:

TERLITECH should be administered only under strict medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with ischemic heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, hypertension, or arrhythmias. Continuous monitoring of blood pressure and cardiovascular status is required during therapy. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly indicated by a physician. Inform the doctor about all medications being taken, especially other vasoconstrictors or cardiac medications.

Adverse Effects:

Common side effects may include headache, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, hypertension, and injection-site reactions. Rare but serious effects include myocardial ischemia, arrhythmias, peripheral ischemia, and severe allergic reactions.

Storage:

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep the vial in the original packaging until use. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
