Each uncoated tablet contains:
Torsemide 20 mg

Loop Diuretic / Antihypertensive.
Dosage & Administration
Route: Oral administration.
| Indication | Usual Adult Dose |

| Oedema (CHF, renal, hepatic) | 10–20 mg once daily; may be titrated up to 200 mg/day as required. |
| Hypertension | 5–10 mg once daily; may increase up to 20 mg/day depending on response. |
Administer preferably in the morning to minimize nocturia.
Individualize dosage according to patient response and renal function.
Warnings & Precautions
Electrolyte imbalance: Monitor sodium, potassium, and magnesium levels.
Hypotension: Possible in volume-depleted patients.
Renal function: Monitor serum creatinine and BUN; avoid excessive diuresis.
Gout: May cause hyperuricaemia; use with caution.
Ototoxicity: Rare; may occur with high doses or in combination with ototoxic drugs.
Diabetes mellitus: May cause mild hyperglycaemia — monitor blood glucose levels.
Hepatic impairment: Use with caution; avoid in hepatic coma.
Adverse Effects
Common: Polyuria, dizziness, hypotension, dehydration, muscle cramps, headache.
Less common: Hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, hyperuricaemia, hyperglycaemia.
Rare: Rash, hearing disturbance (with high doses), renal dysfunction.
Use in Special Populations
Pregnancy: Category C — use only if clearly indicated.
Lactation: Not recommended; unknown if excreted in breast milk.
Elderly: Dose adjustment may be necessary; monitor renal and electrolyte status.
Pediatric use: Safety and efficacy not established.
Overdosage
Symptoms: Excessive diuresis, dehydration, hypotension, electrolyte depletion.
Management: Supportive and symptomatic treatment — restore fluids and electrolytes.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and light.
Keep out of reach of children.
