Composition

Each uncoated tablet contains:
Torsemide 40 mg
Excipients: q.s.

 Therapeutic Category

Loop Diuretic / Antihypertensive.

 Warnings & Precautions

Electrolyte imbalance: Monitor serum sodium, potassium, magnesium regularly.

Volume depletion & hypotension: May occur with excessive diuresis.

Renal function: Monitor BUN and serum creatinine periodically.

Hyperuricaemia: May precipitate gout; use with caution.

Hyperglycaemia: May affect glucose tolerance.

Hepatic impairment: Use cautiously; avoid in hepatic coma.

Ototoxicity: Rare, but risk increases with very high doses or concurrent ototoxic drugs.

 Adverse Effects

Common: Dizziness, hypotension, dehydration, headache, fatigue, increased urination.

Less common: Hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, hyperuricaemia, hyperglycaemia.

Rare: Rash, hearing disturbances, renal dysfunction, photosensitivity.

Overdosage

Symptoms: Excessive diuresis, dehydration, hypotension, electrolyte imbalance.
Management: Supportive therapy; replace fluids and electrolytes as necessary; monitor vital signs and renal function.

 Storage

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and light.
Keep out of reach of children.
