Torsemyde S 10/25 Tabs (10X10) Torsemide 10Mg,Spironolactone 25Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
This medicine helps remove excess salt and water from the body and is used to reduce swelling (oedema), especially when related to heart, liver or kidney conditions. It may also be prescribed for high blood pressure in some patients.

How does it work?
Torsemide increases the removal of salt and water through urine. Spironolactone also removes excess fluid while helping to prevent excessive potassium loss.

How to take/use it
Take it by mouth exactly as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day. As it increases urination, avoid taking it close to bedtime unless advised. Do not change the dose or stop it without medical advice.

Common side effects
Increased urination, dizziness, low blood pressure, dehydration, weakness, nausea, and changes in blood potassium or sodium levels. Spironolactone may cause breast tenderness or enlargement and menstrual changes.

Precautions
Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function and blood potassium may be needed. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver disease, dehydration, or low blood pressure. Avoid potassium supplements and potassium-containing salt substitutes unless advised. Seek medical help for severe weakness, fainting, confusion, very low urine output, or irregular heartbeat. Discuss use during pregnancy or breastfeeding with a doctor.
