What is it used for?
Ulinastatin is a prescription injectable medicine used mainly in hospitals to help manage acute pancreatitis and certain severe inflammatory conditions, including severe sepsis, under specialist supervision.

How does it work?
It blocks enzymes called proteases, such as trypsin, that can contribute to tissue injury and inflammation. This may help reduce excessive inflammation in severe illness.

How to take/use it

Common side effects
