What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat bacterial urinary tract infections (UTIs) and help relieve bladder-related symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency and painful bladder spasms.

How does it work?
Ofloxacin kills bacteria that cause the infection. Flavoxate relaxes the muscles of the bladder and helps reduce spasms, urgency and frequency.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed by the doctor. Complete the prescribed course, even if symptoms improve. Swallow with water and do not take it with antacids or mineral supplements unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, constipation and blurred vision may occur.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to ofloxacin or other quinolone antibiotics. Seek medical advice for tendon pain or swelling, numbness or tingling, severe diarrhoea, palpitations or serious mood or nervous-system changes. Tell the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney disease, seizures, heart-rhythm problems or previous tendon disorders. Avoid driving if dizzy or if vision is blurred.
