What is it used for?
Povidone iodine 5% is an antiseptic used to reduce germs on the skin and help prevent infection in minor cuts, grazes and wounds. The exact use depends on the product label; some 5% products are intended for use around the eye before medical procedures.

How does it work?
It releases iodine, which kills or inactivates many types of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Clean the affected area and apply the product exactly as directed on the label. Do not use it in the eyes unless the product is specifically labelled for ophthalmic use. Do not swallow.
