Bendamustine Hydrochloride 100 mg

Description

Xlyotin (Bendamustine) is an alkylating chemotherapeutic agent used in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL), and certain other hematologic malignancies. It works by damaging cancer cell DNA, preventing their replication and leading to cell death.

Precautions

Use only under supervision of an oncologist or trained oncology staff.
Regular monitoring of blood counts, liver function, and kidney function is essential.
Avoid use in active infections; inform the doctor if fever or sore throat develops.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women must not use this medication.
Use effective contraception during treatment and for several months afterward.
Avoid live vaccines during therapy.
Hydration before infusion may be required to reduce toxicity.

Adverse Effects

Low blood counts (anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia).
Fatigue and weakness.
Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite.
Fever or infection risk.
Skin rash or infusion-site reactions.
Rare: severe allergic reactions, liver toxicity, Tumor Lysis Syndrome.

Storage

Store vials at controlled room temperature (below 25°C).
Protect from light.
Once reconstituted/diluted, use immediately as per institutional guidelines.
Keep out of reach of children.
