What is it used for?
Xylometazoline nasal medicine provides short-term relief from a blocked or stuffy nose caused by the common cold, allergic rhinitis or sinus congestion.

How does it work?
It narrows swollen blood vessels inside the nose, reducing swelling and helping air pass through more easily.

How to take/use it
Use only in the nose and follow the instructions on the package or those given by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not use it more often or for longer than recommended, as this can make nasal blockage worse. Do not share the product with others.

Common side effects
Temporary nasal dryness, burning or irritation, sneezing, headache and increased nasal discharge may occur. Prolonged or frequent use can cause rebound nasal congestion.

Precautions
Seek medical advice before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma or difficulty passing urine. Check with a doctor or pharmacist if taking antidepressants or other medicines. Children should use it only if specifically advised and with a product intended for their age.
