Zenotas-Mz Suspension (Ofloxacin 50 mg + Metronidazole 120 mg + Simethicone 10 mg)

Composition (Each 5 ml contains):

Ofloxacin IP – 50 mg,Metronidazole Benzoate IP (equivalent to Metronidazole) – 120 mg,Simethicone IP – 10 mg

Description:

Zenotas-MZ Suspension is a combination antimicrobial and anti-gas formulation.
It is used for the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery, and gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria and protozoa.
Simethicone helps relieve gas, bloating, and abdominal discomfort, improving overall digestive comfort.

Warnings and Precautions:

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones or nitroimidazoles.

Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or history of seizures.

Avoid alcohol consumption during therapy and 48 hours after completing treatment (due to disulfiram-like reaction with metronidazole).

Not recommended in children below 2 years unless prescribed.

Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Adverse Effects:

Nausea, vomiting, metallic taste

Abdominal discomfort, diarrhea or constipation

Headache, dizziness

Dark-colored urine (due to Metronidazole – harmless)

Rare: Allergic reactions, neuropathy, tendon pain (with Ofloxacin)

Seek medical attention if severe abdominal cramps, rash, or unusual symptoms occur.
