What is it used for?
Used to relieve pain and inflammation, especially when muscle or joint pain occurs along with nerve-related pain. It may be prescribed for conditions such as painful nerve problems, back pain or arthritis-related pain.

How does it work?
Aceclofenac reduces substances that cause pain and inflammation. Pregabalin reduces abnormal pain signals from irritated or damaged nerves.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the sustained-release tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Taking it with or after food may help reduce stomach upset. Do not stop pregabalin suddenly without medical advice.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, sleepiness, blurred vision, tiredness and swelling of the feet or ankles.

Precautions
Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizzy, sleepy or affected. Tell the doctor about stomach ulcers or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, or an allergy to painkillers. Avoid excess alcohol. Seek medical help for severe stomach pain, black stools, vomiting blood, facial swelling or breathing difficulty. Inform the doctor if pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding; aceclofenac should generally be avoided during the later months of pregnancy.
