Zync Syp (100Ml) Zinc Acetate Usp by Elder

What is it used for?
Zinc acetate is used to treat zinc deficiency. Under medical supervision, it is also used in Wilson’s disease, a condition in which copper builds up in the body.

How does it work?
It provides zinc to the body. In Wilson’s disease, zinc reduces the absorption of copper from the intestine.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed. Do not change the dose or duration without medical advice. If being used for Wilson’s disease, follow the prescribed instructions about taking it with or without food. Keep it separate from iron, calcium and certain antibiotics if advised by the doctor.

Common side effects
Nausea, stomach upset, vomiting and a metallic taste may occur.

Precautions
Use only under medical supervision, especially at this strength. Long-term or excessive use may cause copper deficiency and blood-related problems. Tell the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, liver disease, other medicines and mineral supplements. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent stomach symptoms occur.
